HUGE CROWD FOR A MIRACLE
An estimated 70,000 people gathered in Fatima Portugal expecting to see a miracle after three shepherd children; Lucia and her two siblings reported 2 previous visions at this same location from an apparition calling herself ‘the lady of the rosary’.
In his book “Looking for a Miracle,” Joe Nickell states that the huge crowd was “anticipating the Virgin’s final visit and with many fully expecting that she would work a great miracle. As before, the figure appeared, and again only to the children. Identifying herself as ‘the Lady of the Rosary,’ she urged repentance and the building of a chapel at the site. After predicting an end to [World War I] and giving the children certain undisclosed visions, the lady lifted her hands to the sky. Thereupon Lucia exclaimed, ‘The sun!’ As everyone gazed upward, and saw that a silvery disc had emerged from behind clouds, they experienced what is known [as] a ‘sun miracle’.”
DANCING SUN VISION
Some in attendance said they saw the sun dance around the heavens; others said the sun zoomed toward the Earth in a zigzag motion that caused them to fear that it might collide with our planet or burn it up. Some people reported seeing brilliant colors spin out of the sun in a psychedelic pinwheel pattern. But thousands said they saw nothing at all.
2 VISIONS REVEALED: 2 DIE
Lucia was the only one of the children who saw the prophecies that became know as the ‘Three Visions of Fatima’.
The Russian Revolution (which took place later that year in October 1917)
The End of World War I (which did end the next year) and a far worse war to come if the Pope did not consecrate Russia (Referring to World War II)
The 3rd Vision of Fatima was given to the children on this date but they were told not to reveal it until a future time.
